The Tremont Temple Missionary Baptist Church is a historic African American Church. The Church has been on the cutting edge of social and civic issues since her inception. During the Civil Rights Movement of the late 1950’s and mid 1960’s, the Church served as a representative voice for civil liberty, through which we have sought Christlike ways to bring knowledge of truth, justice, righteousness, goodness and beauty to oppressed persons seeking a more productive life. Through the years, our Church has hosted some of the pulpit giants of this age. Some of them include Dr. Vernon Johns, Dr. Benjamin E. Mays, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Reverend Jessie Jackson.

After years of searching for an expansion property, on October 2, 2001, the Church purchased a 27.9 acre track of land located at 5263 Bloomfield Road. To become more effective in meeting the needs of persons desiring to improve the quality of their lives, the Church desired to setup a non-profit outreach ministry. On December 26, 2001, Power Sources Unlimited: an Outreach Ministry of Tremont Temple Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. was constituted and incorporated.

For more than 110 years the Church worshiped in the historic downtown area of Macon. On January 21, 2007, the Church began hosting its worship services in the Power Center on the campus of the Tremont Temple Missionary Baptist Church at 5263 Bloomfield Road.
